This game is keyboard and joystick compatible.
Player 1
  • Move - I,J,K,L / joystick directional pad
  • Basic attack - Z / joystick button 1

Pointless Development Facts

  • Though this is Final Flames 1.7 officially, it did not get its numbering until Final Flames 2 was in progress. The numbering was done to show when each game happened chronologically.
  • This is the first game that introduced Naira. She was initially just a normal enemy character mimicking Joriel's attire labeled as Stalker. We later gave her a name, Marisa. We wanted to give her a fresh start as a major character in the series. So she had a new appearance and a new name, Naira. The name Naira was formed by flipping Brian backwards, nairB. We just changed the B into an A afterwards.
  • Naira was planned to be a party member but was scrapped
  • Joriel used to have condoms as one of his projectiles for STUFF
  • RPG Tournament was planned to be a traditional free roaming RPG but was later dumbed down into a practice project for making an RPG in Game Maker. The game files has a map where Joriel can run around in. There was even an escape option for battles.
  • The game used to have an items option where Joriel can access Coke instead of using a healing spell
  • The Final Boss was planned to have a special UNLEASH skill called World Wide OW, which was taken from a Final Fantasy flash game with AOL Broadband.
  • Development was delayed due to an immature humor among the team consisting of editing Megaman enemy sprites into belly creatures
  • This game is supposed to take place in the future, but King's sprites were still from Final Flames 1, where he was still a child.
  • King's sprites had to be scaled down to fit proportions, but this caused him to lose one eye and look stupid, starting an official personality trope that King is slightly dumb
